Terrible extension roofing experience. Has left flat roof sagging and puddled possibly unsafe. Greg Woods himself employed a stream unskilled cash in hand idiots to do work (I was away daytimes at work) without supervising had to come back to undo jobs 3 times by then structure itself was damaged by sawing through wrong beam!! it was all too late to stop by then. Excuses excuses, work delayed repeatedly ....weather, goods had not arrived worker in hospital, wife had a baby (!); worker fired for being drunk/hungover etc etc 3 week job took 10 weeks. Finally last day..... he got a local gang of his mates in to complete (they were apologising for the crappy previous workers job saying they would do their best). They ended up having to hassle ME for payment on the day because he said I had to pay first. I literally had to show them my bank transfer to him to prove I had paid him. Both them and him said they would have to strip the job if they did not get payment. I was played off between them. He was verbally coercive (others have reported this and he has been reported for road rage locally too) towards me ... in my own home... I felt quite vulnerable. Felt I had to change locks on the doors. Caused much anxiety. I know now these are all classic cowboy builder tactics. Huge amount of stress caused. Horrible horrible experience. I ended up paying him off -to go away- and finished job myself.... as well as I could. Roof is an eyesore and looks unstable. I will probably have to get it done again in a few years! I am only reporting this to try and help others avoid him. I am not seeking any money back what is done is done. I just now want this bad memory to recede... This guy is very shifty and quite aggressive. I feel stupid for initially trusting him. but you live and learn eh. Please let me know if I can anonymously report this elsewhere as he needs to be stopped or at least challenged to improve and become legit. Thankyou.
