The website looked decent and initially the communication with David was good, however, once David had a majority of the payments he has completely rinsed his hands of the project and has disappeared with us chasing him on a daily basis. He has even changed his phone number despite us being totally fair with him. He didn’t properly apply for building control works and cut corners so as a result the job is not complete and something that was meant to take 3 weeks is at 7 months and still incomplete and has had the be restarted as incorrect insulation and plasterboards are used. He finds tradies who are available rather than planning for the appropriate stage of development (I.e wanted to put in chandeliers before plastering is done). Just a total lack of common sense and lying constantly. Please save yourself the headache. Also check him out on companies house.
Simple garage conversion. Still outstanding as per building control: Internal: No insulation over brick pier or over head of window. Remedies would include: Approval from Principal Designer (Architect/Agent), condensation risk analysis or a nominal PIR board to prevent cold bridging. Mains interlinked SD to circulation space to meet BS 5839 (MAX distance of 7.5m from habitable rooms and 3m from bedrooms) Registration of the electrical installation Garage side: - Fire protection to be extended to floor slab along entire dividing wall to provide continuous fire/smoke barrier - Ceiling cut outs to be made good and skimmed (see attached picture of what appears a downlight or PIR sensor). He was also meant to replace our garage door which hasn’t been done and no electrical panel cover.

David breadcrumbs us saying trades will come and they never do. We have not seen him on site for months.
